This Code of Ethics summarizes the principles that guide FinanceGuideline’s work, complementing our Editorial Policy with explicit ethical commitments.
Commitment to the truth
We do not publish false or unverified information as if it were fact. When information cannot be confirmed, we say so explicitly to the reader.
Fact-checking
All factual content goes through a verification process against primary sources whenever possible, official documents, public data, experts, and direct statements, before publication.
Correcting errors
When we make a mistake, we correct it transparently and quickly, in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
Conflicts of interest
Journalists and contributors must disclose any conflict of interest related to a topic they are covering. Commercial content is always identified as such, never disguised as editorial content.
Respect and responsibility
We treat people mentioned in our content with respect, offer a right of reply where appropriate, and avoid unnecessary exposure of personal data or content that incites violence, discrimination, or hatred.
Responsible use of artificial intelligence
When AI tools assist in producing content, the result is always reviewed by a responsible human professional before publication, as detailed in our Editorial Policy.
